DISTANCE LEARNING PROGRAM (FAQ'S)
WHAT IS THE SCHOOL’S DISTANCE LEARNING OR ONLINE LEARNING PROGRAM?
The school’s distance learning, e-learning or online learning platform is an internet web based learning program where all of its content and course work for the learners will be delivered via a learning management system (Google Classroom). Learners are taught to work in a self-paced and self-directed manner with the collaborative teacher-parent/guardian guidance.
DO WE NEED A COMPUTER DESKTOP OR LAPTOP IN AN ONLINE LEARNING CLASS?
Not necessarily, aside from laptop and desktop, our online class can also be accessed in any gadget like tablet or smartphones but we encourage parents to use or provide gadgets with big screens in order to facilitate learning conducively and effectively.
HOW ARE INSTRUCTIONS DELIVERED IN AN ONLINE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT?
Instructions are delivered through an online learning platform (Google Classroom) where advisories and other related learning activities are posted and updated.
WHY DELIVER THE LESSONS ONLINE?
It is the safest way rather than a face-to-face interaction due to the pandemic. Learning at home ensures the learners’ safety and assures quality support from their family.
DO LEARNERS NEED TO BE ONLINE EVERYDAY?
Not necessarily, unless they finish their assignments and class tasks on time or before the scheduled submission time. Lessons, assignments and activities are self-paced where learners can work anytime of the day. In addition, lessons and assignments are designed to be accomplished daily and or weekly, in other words, some activities or tasks can be done offline. Offline means there is no need to connect to data or the internet.
IS CLASS ATTENDANCE REQUIRED?
Yes, submitted daily or weekly tasks or assignments on-time or before the due time will be counted for attendance and class participation.
WHAT ABOUT CLASS VIDEO CONFERENCING?
We discourage video class conferencing since internet connection is not reliable in some locations but it might happen especially during school related occasions and for class socialization purposes. Video conferencing formats might include Zoom and Google Meet.
WHAT CAN WE EXPECT ABOUT HOW LESSONS ARE PRESENTED?
Our teachers are fully trained to deliver their class instructions in different options including PowerPoint presentations, video formats and other interactive means using digital tools online and by introducing our learners to scholarly educational websites.
DO PARENTS OR GUARDIANS GET INVOLVED IN OUR CHILD’S ONLINE LEARNING SESSIONS?
Yes! Your assistance and support to your child’s online learning class will greatly affect their class performance. Your 100% support is deeply needed. It is also important that parents must be updated about these digital educational transformations that are happening nowadays.
HOW DO WE KNOW THAT OUR CHILD HAS A PENDING OR UPCOMING TASK TO DO IN THEIR CLASS?
Always visit the child’s Google Classroom website. The teachers will communicate with the parents by all means like in fb group chats (messenger) or through text messages or calls informing of their child's upcoming or pending class assignment or activity.
WHAT ABOUT THE SCHEDULE OF MY CHILD’S ONLINE CLASS?
Since our online is a self-paced program, learners are always advised and instructed to work and comply with the daily task or assignment diligently on time correctly. Students will work for at least 3-4 subjects in a day, 30 to 45 minutes per subject (approximately).
DO YOU STILL FOLLOW THE SAME GRADING SYSTEM YOU USE IN ONLINE CLASS?
Yes, we will use the same grading system patterned from the DepEd.
WHAT ARE THOSE OFFLINE ACTIVITIES TO BE ASSIGNED IN OUR CHILD?
There are activities intended for offline tasks, these may include doing individual assignments, reading and answering modules, collaborating and finalizing individual performance tasks, doing skills and talent enhancements, creating individual projects and other related activities that can be done at home.
DO THEY HAVE EXAMINATIONS OR ASSESSMENTS?
Yes, examinations, quizzes and other forms of assessments will be conducted through scheduled one-on-one (student-teacher) video conferencing. Parents or guardians will be informed in advance of the said video conference.
DO WE BUY TEXTBOOKS FOR THE ONLINE CLASS?
Instead of textbooks, the teacher will prepare modules or worksheets per lesson if applicable. These modules or worksheets are printables and can be answered while offline. No buying of textbooks for the meantime.
HOW CAN I ENROLL MY CHILD?

DOES YOUR SCHOOL ACCEPT TRANSFEREES OR STUDENTS FROM OTHER SCHOOLS?
Yes, we accept transferees from other schools. We would be requiring necessary documents like a school report card and other related forms from the previous school where your child has enrolled.
