DISTANCE LEARNING PLATFORM, SY 2020-2021
For this SY 2020-2021, the school will impose the DIGITAL LEARNING PLATFORM amidst COVID-19 pandemic and community quarantine restrictions.
As response to this pandemic challenges, the school will frame a Concise Digital Curriculum Program (A DepEd Curriculum Guide based) in order to formulate a complete and comprehensive learning resource that can establish excellent online teaching environment for all teachers and enrolled learners.
The Askaps Academy’s Digital Learning Platform will flow through a Distance Learning or E-Learning Program where learners elsewhere (any cities in the Philippines) will learn and finish their required courses or grade levels accordingly in a Home-Based Schooling set-up. This learning platform will be obtained through internet and all of its content and coursework will be delivered via website (Google Classroom Format) using computer or other digital device like smartphones or tablets.
Learners are taught to work in a self-directed and self-paced learning condition where attendance virtually is not necessary. In other words, teachers will provide all coursework and activities online and detailed instructions and discussions per subject or lesson may be presented in a video or in text format.
A one-on-one video meeting/class (messenger or zoom) will be conducted for the weekly online quiz and monthly test or assessment or for follow ups and academic consultation.
Flexible Learning will also be available as option where hard copy of modules (coursework, assignments, lessons, quizzes and monthly test) may be available to some neighbouring learners with limited access to the internet. Only parents or guardians are allowed to visit/drop the school following proper social distancing from DOH advisories.
