This initiative is a direct response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent community quarantine restrictions.

To ensure the health and safety of all students, including those in remote areas, the school has developed a Concise Digital Curriculum Program aligned with the Department of Education (DepEd) guidelines. This curriculum provides a comprehensive and effective learning experience, facilitating a dynamic online teaching environment for both educators and learners.

The Digital Learning Platform at Askaps Academy

Askaps Academy’s Digital Learning Platform is centered on a Distance Learning or E-Learning Program, enabling students across the Philippines to access and complete their required coursework and grade levels from the comfort of their homes. This platform is entirely accessible online, with all instructional materials, coursework, and assignments delivered via a website, primarily through Google Classroom. Learners can conveniently access the platform using computers, smartphones, or tablets, ensuring widespread accessibility.

Self-Directed Learning Approach

The Distance Learning Program at Askaps Academy promotes a self-directed and self-paced learning model. This approach eliminates the need for students to attend live virtual sessions at set times, as they are free to progress through lessons at their own speed. Teachers will upload course materials and activities online, with lessons available in video format or as text-based content. Students are expected to manage their time and learning independently, taking ownership of their education by completing assignments and engaging with materials as needed.

Interactive and Supportive Learning Environment

To ensure ongoing academic support and foster interaction, Askaps Academy will host weekly one-on-one and group video meetings or classes through Google Meet, integrated into Google Classroom. These virtual sessions will serve a variety of purposes, including administering quizzes, conducting monthly assessments, and offering academic consultations. These meetings are designed to provide personalized guidance and assistance, ensuring that students receive the support they need to succeed in their studies.

Flexible Learning Options

Understanding that some students may have limited access to the internet, Askaps Academy offers Flexible Learning options for learners in areas with connectivity challenges. For these students, hard copies of educational materials—including books, coursework, assignments, quizzes, and monthly tests—will be provided. This ensures that all students can continue their education without disruption, regardless of their internet access.
